A thumping defeat for the reigning champions at the hands of Chevron at the Shed was the big surprise in the opening week of fixtures. The DeC Rebels were bowled out for a mere 56. Chevron recorded a 6 wicket victory, finishing on 57-4.
Grammar 98 started their league campaign with a comfortable victory over St Ronald at Duthie Park. After posting a target of 118-8, Grammar 98 bowled out the opposition for 41, recording a 77 run victory (taking them to the top of the table by way of a better margin).
