Dutchmill maintain 100% record (Week 3)

Dutchmill are the only team now with a 100% record after recording a 5 wicket victory over St Ronald at the Shed. Chasing a target of 103-9, the Mill reached 104-5 with 4 overs to spare, with both A. Hutton and A. Churchill  retiring on 30.

Following their defeat to Ellon the previous week, Grammar 98 showed bouncebackability with a comprehensive 42 run victory over Inn at the Park at Duthie Park 2. Grammar 98 posted a total of 119-8, with telling contributions from Grant Jamieson and Joe Garner with the bat. In reply, the Park made a steady start, however the bowlers were soon on top (including a 5 wicket haul for Gavin Jamieson) and the Park were dismissed for 77.

After about 8 attempts, Chevron have finally got the better of MCC in a very close encounter at Duthie Park 3. MCC batted first and posted a total of 134-5 from their full 20 overs. In reply, Chevron reached 135-9 in the 18th over to record a narrow 1 wicket victory.

The reigning champions the Rebels have moved into second place in the league by way of a better margin with a comfortable victory over Methlick at the Links. Batting first, Methlick were skittled out for 46 runs after 16 overs, with Guneet Singh and Rahul amongst the wickets for the Rebels (with 3 runouts not helping the Methlick cause). The Rebels reached 48-3 in the 9th over to record a comfortable 7 wicket victory (Naru 23 n.o.).

Congratuations to Grammar Hockey (aka 'the Gentlemen Players of Rubislaw') for recording their first victory in the AECL. After winning the toss, Grammar Hockey batted and reached an impressive 139-8 off their alloted 20 overs. In reply, Caley made 102-9 to fall 37 runs short.

ATSSC recorded a 6 wicket victory over Ellon. Batting first, Ellon were all out for 104. ATSSC reached 105-4 in reply.
