There were two rearranged league fixtures this week in League 1. The Legends welcomed Inn at the Park to Allan Park Stadium and ATSSC met St Ronald on DP1.

The match between ATSSC and St Ronald ended in a tie (120 runs a piece). Little else is known about the match (wickets lost?), hopefully we will receive a little more information in due course :-). This was a second tie in as many weeks for ATSSC, however I doubt ATSSC took the last 4 wickets for 0 runs as was the case last week!!

Many congratulations to the Royal Challengers for remaining unbeaten throughout the season and winning the League 2 title in their first season in the AECL.

The Royal Challengers finished the season in style with a 10 wicket victory over BP on DP2 in a rearranged match reduced to 15 overs per side. BP batted first and posted a target of 81 for 8 from 15 overs. In reply, the Challengers made 84 for 0 from 10 overs.

Thank you to those teams who have already submitted their nominations for League 1 and League 2 batsman / bowler of the year awards. The date for entry has been extended to COB Thursday 5th August for the stragglers, thereafter the winners will be announced.

It is proposed to hand out tankards to those individuals after the Oxy Cup Final at Mannofield on Monday evening (~ 8.30pm), subject to the availability of persons involved.

Unfortunately the final has once again been postponed due to the heavy rain over the weekend. Mannofield is unplayable.

The match has been rescheduled to Monday 9th August, with a 6.15pm start (the possibility of an earlier start time of 6.00pm will be discussed with both teams). This may be the last opportunity to play at Mannofield this season, thereafter alternative venues will be investigated.

The Oxy Cup final has been rescheduled to Monday 2nd August at Mannofield, following discussions today with both teams. This was the only date available next week at Mannofield. The aim will be to start by 6.15pm to maximise the light (the nights are beginning to draw in!!). Should this match be postponed due to the weather once again, there is a possible contingency the following Monday (TBC).
