The Legends kept up their perfect record in a narrow victory over BCC at Allan Park.  There were also wins for Knightriders, Grammar98 and Bon Accord.  Details to follow...

Grammar98 will meet Knightriders in the first of the Oxy Cup semi finals.  Axis St. Ronald will meet either Legends or Bon Accord in the other semi.  The outcome of this game is still outstanding.

At the Links, Axis St. Ronald maintained their good form to see off the challenge of BP.  Winning the toss and batting, Axis St. Ronald made a solid start with ever reliable top order batsmen Rehan Haider and G. Tiwari reaching 33* and 32* respectively.  This work was continued in the middle order but a collapse with the score on 144 saw Axis St. Ronald bowled out for 162 thanks to tight bowling from Itaz and Elia.  In reply, BP lost wickets at regular intervals with only Itaz (24), Elia (30*) and Ian (15) surpassing single digits on their way to a total of 111.

Up at Harlaw Academy, Grammar98's top order were finding their feet early in the evening against Inn at the Park as Andy Russell (28), Sree Devadas (31*), Swapnil Rane (33*) and Grant Jamieson (35* - his first score of this number for the club at the 58th time of asking) scored quickly to see G98 race to 135 for 1 inside 12 overs.  From there, 3 wickets from Aamir helped restrict G98 to 180 all out with 7 balls still remaining.  The Park set about chasing the runs at the required rate through S. Khan at the top of the order (30*), but with wickets falling at the other end the chase was becoming increasingly difficult.  A. Toor amassed a score of 27 before succumbing to Swapnil Rane, who finished with 3 for 14; The Park all out for 150.

At Rubislaw, Knightriders had Somu (33*) and Prem Ballal (32*) to thank for their match winning total of 146, booking their place in the last 4.  The Gentlemen shot out for 108 in reply - M. Campbell the only contributor with a score of 32*.

There were wins for The Legends, Bon Accord, Knightriders and Inn at the Park in round 5 of the league fixtures.

At Allan Park, The Legends, despite only managing to find 10 bodies, restricted Axis St. Ronald to 144 for 7 in the 1st innings.  R. Narula (33*) and Mayank (32*) helped them reach their score.  Doug Anderson (3 for 15) and Jon van der Ruit (3 for 16) did not.  In reply, The Legends knocked off the runs in the 19th over thanks, in the most part, to overseas pro Elton Willemse (33*) and Chris Forbes (30*).

At Harlaw Academy, Bon Accord claimed a victory off the last ball of the game against Grammar 98.  Opting to bat first, in a game reduced to 17 overs per innings, Bons amassed 144 for 2 thanks to A. Sharma and T. Singh (both 32*).  In reply, G98 kept in relative touch with the run rate up front through Dave Gamblin (30*).  Fresh from his 3 years away from the game, Luigi Govil (32*) helped up the run rate in the middle.  With G98 needing 2 to win off 2 balls, Ian Lumsden (24) could only pick out the fielder at cover, and then a well directed Mikey Fyfe bouncer under cover of darkness was enough to see Andy Russell fall onto his stumps - Bons win by literally the narrowest of margins.

IatP picked up a second win of the season at Rubislaw against the Gentlemen.  Batting first, IatP scored a healthy 196 for 5 with Debo (31*), Geet (31*) and Farooq (26no) the mainstays.  R. Davey and A. Cripps both took a pair of wickets each.  The Gentlemen never really threatened the score, finishing on 126 for 5.  T. Booth (31*) and J. Parminter (30*) both boosted their averages.  Geet helped him self to 4 wickets and that all coveted '30 and 3-for' accolade.

Knightriders made short work of a struggling Super Kings side at the Links.  Super Kings through Purnesh (32*) and Karthik (30*) got to 132 before being dismissed.  Knightriders chased the runs for the loss of just 2 wickets.  Siva (35*) and Prem Ballal (31*) both reaching the retiral milestone.

Apologies for lack of updates.  There was a technical issue with the results email distribution, which has now been sorted, and I've also been on holiday.

I've got a list of games I have results outstanding for.  They may have already been emailled in but not reached me due to the aforementioned problem.  If you could forward those on again, it would be much appreciated.  This is also serving as a reminder that the winning team is responsible for reporting the result, preferably within 24 hours of the game ending.

Wednesday 29th May:
Lahore Karahi v IatP

Tuesday 11th June
Lahore Karahi v BP

These results would mean the league table is fully up-to-date as of league week 4.
